特提斯石油公司在阿曼发现石油

据管道油气新闻网3月1日消息：特提斯石油公司(Tethys Oil)宣布，其位于阿曼49区块的Thameen-1勘探井遇到了碳氢化合物。

阿曼陆上49区块的探井Thameen-1已经钻至最终总深度，电缆测井作业已经完成。该井在主要目标层Hasirah砂岩中发现了油气。评估该油井的下一步是启动试井程序，试图将碳氢化合物输送到地面。测试计划的结果预计将在三周内公布。

“这还不算是一个新发现，但是迄今为止的进展使我们感到鼓舞，这对区块的整体远景来说也是个好消息。但必须再耐心等待三周。”特提斯石油公司总经理Magnus Nordin表示。

特提斯石油公司通过其全资子公司Tethys Oil Montasar Ltd.成为该区块的运营商，并持有该区块勘探和生产共享协议中50%的工作权益。

Tethys Oil finds oil in Oman

Tethys Oil announced that its Thameen-1 exploration well in Block 49 in Oman had encountered hydrocarbons.

The exploration well Thameen-1 on Block 49 onshore Oman has drilled to its final total depth and wireline logging operations have been completed. The well has encountered hydrocarbon shows in the primary target, the Hasirah Sandstone. The next step in evaluating the well is to commence a well testing programme in an attempt to flow hydrocarbons to surface. The result of the testing programme is expected within three weeks.

“This is not a discovery yet, but we are very encouraged by the progress so far and it is great news for the overall prospectivity of the Block. Now we have to be patient for another three weeks as we await the test results,” says Tethys Oil AB’s Managing Director Magnus Nordin.

Tethys Oil AB, through its wholly owned subsidiary Tethys Oil Montasar Ltd., is the operator of the Block and holds a fifty percent working interest in the exploration and production sharing agreement covering the Block.
