壳牌与NCDMB合作建造天然气基础设施

据3月8日The Punch报道，尼日利亚内容开发和监测委员会(NCDMB)宣布与壳牌尼日利亚天然气公司签署了一项协议，壳牌公司将租赁巴耶尔萨州波拉库一公顷的土地，开发一个天然气减压和计量站。

NCDMB在一份声明中表示，该协议是由执行秘书Simbi Wabote和壳牌尼日利亚天然气公司总经理Ed Ubong在阿布贾签署的。并表示，天然气的供应将为新投资者和现有投资者打开机会通道。

他补充道：“随着天然气管道网络的扩展，更多的企业可以获得天然气供应，从而创造就业机会，促进有影响力的经济活动。通过这种伙伴关系，我们预计在未来两年内，建筑、制造业和服务业将创造3万个直接和间接的就业机会。”

Wabote表示，董事会决定利用部分土地，促进天然气在巴耶尔萨和邻近各州的用户中分配和供应。

NCDMB, Shell sign deal on Bayelsa gas facility

The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board has announced the signing of an agreement with Shell Nigeria Gas for the lease of one hectare of its land at Polaku, Bayelsa State, for the development of a Pressure Reduction and Metering Station by Shell.

The agreement was signed in Abuja by the Executive Secretary, NCDMB, Simbi Wabote, and the Managing Director, Shell Nigeria Gas, Mr Ed Ubong, the NCDMB said in a statement.

According to him, the availability of natural gas will open up the corridor of opportunities for new and existing investors.

”With the extension of the gas pipeline network by SNG, more businesses can be supplied with natural gas thereby creating employment and enabling impactful economic activities. With this partnership, we expect 30,000 direct and indirect jobs to be created in construction, manufacturing, and services sector within the next two years,” he said.

Wabote said the board decided to use part of its land to catalyse the distribution and availability of natural gas to domestic gas to users within Bayelsa and neighbouring states.
